My Story: How I Became A Copywriter

You know, I often find that people are intrigued when I tell them that I am a copywriter and marketing storyteller. And that it’s my business to craft persuasive, compelling marketing messages that help companies sell more of their products and services. They frequently ask how I got into this business. Here’s my story…

Several years ago, I joined Toastmasters to confront and overcome my fear of public speaking and build confidence. It worked really well. I’m now a fledgling professional speaker. But I’ll save that story for another day.

There was a benefit from my Toastmasters experience I did not expect, a surprise that ultimately changed the course of my career: As I prepared speaking projects, I discovered I have a talent for persuading and storytelling through the written word.

I pursued this talent and developed skill at it. In 2009, I made it my full time business. To this day, I still love it! I love helping my clients win their marketing and sales battles with the services I offer them.

I get a thrill out of writing words and offering big, bold ideas that help companies win more leads, close more sales and enjoy longer, more profitable customer relationships.
